This analysis presents a case study focused on Kenya, highlighting the considerable climate change mitigation potential of Nature-based Solutions (NbS), internationally and at national level. It presents a possible investment pathway for public and private financiers to unlock the benefits of NbS in Kenya, which would require USD $1.2 billion of investment per year by 2050.
The study finds that a wide range of investors are required to fund the transition and suggests how Kenyan policymakers can create the right environment to overcome key barriers to investment and attract private capital.
Beyond Kenya, this analysis could be applied to other countries and globally.
The Executive Summary provides a snapshot of the study and the two-pager a summary for corporates. You can download all version on this page.
