Time

Location
Food Systems Pavilion, COP28
Event Description

Food loss and waste is a key contributor to the climate crisis and a win-win solution for food security. However, ambitious multi-stakeholder solutions are needed to halve food loss and waste (FLW) by 2030. Philanthropy can play a critical role in bridging the public – private divide and bringing multiple stakeholders to the table.

Launching a Roadmap for FLW, this event will illustrate the role of philanthropy and showcase examples of catalytic action from Kenya, Indonesia, USA and Mexico. Turning to the audience, solution providers and philanthropies will join together for 30 minutes of ‘speed-dating’ to spark ideas for multi-actor
collaboration to deliver SDG target 12.3.

This event is hosted by FOLU in partnership with WRI, Champions12.3, WRAP, ReFed, Bezos Earth Fund, IKEA Foundation and Roberston Foundation.
