
The Africa Food Systems Forum 2025 is planned for 31 August – 4 September. The Forum themed, ‘Africa’s Youth Leading Collaboration, Innovation, and Implementation of Agri-Food Systems Transformation”, is the continent’s leading platform for advancing inclusive and sustainable food systems.
Convening in Senegal under the leadership of H.E. President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar FAYE, the Forum will bring together leaders from government, business, research, development, and youth networks to drive bold solutions.
FOLU Kenya and partners will be hosting a side event “Scaling Circular Food Systems: Youth Action” at the AFS Forum 2025. From regenerative agriculture and reducing food loss and waste to healthier diets and innovative uses of by-products, youth and MSMEs are at the forefront of building resource-efficient, sustainable agrifood systems.
Through interactive dialogue and real-life case studies, this session will highlight gender-inclusive approaches, policy alignment, and partnerships that can scale circular innovations while strengthening youth agencies in shaping Africa’s food future.
